In today’s fast-paced, often impersonal world we hardly have time to get to know our friends and neighbors very well. Yet, there’s something inside each of us that longs to build meaningful relationships with others. At Reflections, we believe in the value of building authentic community through people getting together on a weekly basis in small group settings.
Small groups are not therapy sessions! You don’t have to share your deepest, dakest secrets and we don’t put people on the spot. Oprah and Dr. Phil don’t lead our small groups – real people just like you do. Small groups are simply a place to connect with other people and to experience the full and rich life that Jesus offers us. In a small group gathering (typically once a week for about an hour and a half), we have a time of refreshments & fellowship, we worship together briefly, we study the Bible and try to figure out how it applies to our 24/7 world, and we pray for each other as well as those outside our group. In essence, small groups are the Church as it was meant to be in a microcosmic form!
We try to form small groups around where people are at in life so that they have some things in common – you know, young marrieds, families with small children, empty nesters, etc. We have several groups for you to get involved with and we’re starting new ones all the time.
Check out these groups and drop the leaders a line if you’d like to know more:
